بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 48–49
2 versesAl-Anfal 48
وَاِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَاِنّ۪ي جَارٌ لَكُمْۚ فَلَمَّا تَرَٓاءَتِ الْفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلٰى عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ اِنّ۪ي بَر۪ٓيءٌ مِنْكُمْ اِنّ۪ٓي اَرٰى مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ اِنّ۪ٓي اَخَافُ اللّٰهَۜ وَاللّٰهُ شَد۪يدُ الْعِقَابِ۟ ٤٨
Mushaf
Transliteration
48Veiẕ zeyyene lehümü-şşeyṭânü aʿmâlehüm veḳâle lâ gâlibe lekümü-lyevme mine-nnâsi veinnî cârul leküm. felemmâ terâeti-lfietâni nekeṣa ʿalâ ʿaḳibeyhi veḳâle innî berîüm minküm innî erâ mâ lâ teravne innî eḫâfü-llâh. vellâhü şedîdü-lʿiḳâb.
English Translation
48Then Satan made their deeds seem attractive to them and said: —Today no power can defeat you, for I am at your side. But when the two armies came face to face, he ran off, saying: —I am no longer with you, for I see what you do not see; moreover, I fear Allah, for Allah's punishment is very severe.
