بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 5–8
4 versesAl-Anfal 7
وَاِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ اللّٰهُ اِحْدَى الطَّٓائِفَتَيْنِ اَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ اَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُر۪يدُ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِه۪ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكَافِر۪ينَۙ ٧
Mushaf
Transliteration
7Veiẕ yeʿidükümü-llâhü iḥde-ṭṭâifeteyni ennehâ leküm veteveddûne enne gayra ẕâti-şşevketi tekûnü leküm veyürîdü-llâhü ey yüḥiḳḳa-lḥaḳḳa bikelimâtihî veyaḳṭaʿa dâbira-lkâfirîn.
English Translation
7Recall when Allah promised you that one of the two parties would fall into your hands. You wanted the weak and unprotected one. But Allah, in accordance with His promise and decree, wished to bring the truth to light and to cut off the disbelievers at the root,
