بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 9
1 verseIbrahim 9
اَلَمْ يَاْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُ۬ا الَّذ۪ينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَۜۛ وَالَّذ۪ينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْۜۛ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ اِلَّا اللّٰهُۜ جَٓاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرَدُّٓوا اَيْدِيَهُمْ ف۪ٓي اَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَقَالُٓوا اِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَٓا اُرْسِلْتُمْ بِه۪ وَاِنَّا لَف۪ي شَكٍّ مِمَّا تَدْعُونَنَٓا اِلَيْهِ مُر۪يبٍ ٩

Transliteration
9Elem yeʾtiküm nebeü-lleẕîne min ḳabliküm ḳavmi nûḥiv veʿâdiv veŝemûd. velleẕîne mim baʿdihim. lâ yaʿlemühüm ille-llâh. câethüm rusülühüm bilbeyyinâti feraddû eydiyehüm fî efvâhihim veḳâlû innâ kefernâ bimâ ürsiltüm bihî veinnâ lefî şekkim mimmâ tedʿûnenâ ileyhi mürîbün.
English Translation
9Has the news not reached you of those who came and went before you, the people of Noah, Ad, and Thamud, and of the many more communities whose number only Allah knows?(1) Their messengers had come to them with clear proofs of the truth, but they tried to silence them by putting their hands over their mouths, and said: "We do not believe in what you have been sent with, and we have serious doubts about what you are calling us to!"(2)
