At last Noah laid his plea before Allah: —My Lord, I have called my people to Your religion night and day, without pause.
But my calling has done nothing but drive them further away.
So much so that whenever I called them to Your forgiveness, they stuffed their fingers into their ears so as not to hear, wrapped themselves in their garments/took refuge in their rank and position, and thus resisted the truth; they grew ever more arrogant.

There were days when I openly invited them to the belief in Your oneness (tawhid).
There were days when I called aloud, and days when I explained in private.
I said to them: —Come, ask your Lord for forgiveness. For He is most forgiving.
So that He, in turn, may send abundant rain down on you from the sky,
give you wealth and children, bestow on you many vineyards and gardens, and make rivers flow for you.
And what is the matter with you, that you do not appreciate the greatness of Allah?
Yet He created you by taking you through various stages.
(15-16) Do you not see how harmoniously He created the seven heavens, one above another, and made the moon a light within them that reflects light, and the sun a source of light?
(15-16) Do you not see how harmoniously He created the seven heavens, one above another, and made the moon a light within them that reflects light, and the sun a source of light?
Allah brought you into being from the elements in the earth, just like plants.
Then He will return you to it and bring you forth from it again.
Allah has spread out the earth beneath your feet for you to live on.
And He has formed roads and valleys in it for you to travel about.
