All of you say things that differ from/contradict one another.
Whoever is swept away is swept away to his own detriment.
Away with those who peddle their own opinions as the truth!
They are people swimming in obtuseness and heedlessness.
And they even go so far as to ask mockingly: "When is the Day of Recompense/Reckoning?"
That is the day they will be burned in the Fire.
They will be told: Taste this punishment you deserve; this is the punishment you once wanted to come as soon as possible.

Has the story of Abraham's honored guests reached you?
When they came to him and said "Peace be upon you," he replied: —And upon you be peace, and thought to himself: "These are not people I know."
Then he went quietly to his family and, after a while, brought a roasted calf.
He offered it to his guests, saying: —Will you not eat?
He grew suspicious of them, and a fear came over him. The guests said: —Do not be afraid! Then they gave him the good news that he would have a son possessed of knowledge of revelation and scripture.
Hearing these words, his wife turned to the guests and, striking her face, said: —What, me, a barren, old woman?
The guests said: —Yes, just so. For your Lord has decreed it so; He surely does everything in its proper place and knows all things.
Abraham said: O messengers, what is the real reason for your coming here?
The messengers said: —In truth, we have been sent to a sinful people,
—to rain down upon them stones of baked clay,
—stones whose targets among those who overstep the limits have been determined with your Lord.
