English Translation
Has the news not reached you of what became of the disbelievers who came before? They suffered the punishment for what they did. And a painful punishment awaits them.
That is because their messengers came to them with clear proofs of the truth, and they said: "Is a mere human being to guide us?" and turned away in disbelief. So Allah, by destroying them, showed that He needs no one. For Allah needs no one and is worthy of all praise.

So, whatever you do, believe in Allah, in His Messenger, and in the Quran We have sent down. Do not forget that Allah is fully aware of everything you do.

He will gather you together on the Day of Gathering. That is the day on which it will become clear who has won and who has lost. Whoever believes in Allah and does good and beautiful deeds, Allah will cover over his sins and settle him in gardens beneath which rivers flow, to remain there forever. That is the great salvation.
But as for the disbelievers who cover up the truths and cling to lies in the face of Our verses, they are the people of the Fire, and there they will remain. What an evil journey's end Hell is!

English Translation
O you who believe! Among your spouses and your children there may be some who act as enemies to you. So be wary of their attitudes and behavior. But if you pardon their wrong behavior, overlook it, and forgive, know well that Allah too is matchless in forgiveness and an infinite source of mercy.
Do not forget that your wealth and possessions and your children are truly a means of testing you. The truly great reward is with Allah.
So do all you can to guard yourselves against defying Allah. Listen intently to His message, the Quran, and do what it requires; and spend of your wealth in His way, for your own good. Know that whoever purifies his self of covetousness and stinginess, it is they who will attain what they hope for.
If you lend Allah a goodly loan, He will return it to you many times over and forgive you. For Allah is the One who never leaves the grateful unrewarded and does not hasten to punish.
He is the One who knows everything seen and unseen, who is absolutely supreme, and whose every judgment is right.
