بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 20–24

طَاعَةٌ وَقَوْلٌ مَعْرُوفٌ۠ فَاِذَا عَزَمَ الْاَمْرُ۠ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا اللّٰهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْۚ ٢١
Mushaf
Transliteration
21Ṭâʿatüv veḳavlüm maʿrûfün. feiẕâ ʿazeme-lʾemr. felev ṣadeḳu-llâhe lekâne ḫayral lehüm.
English Translation
21obedience to the command and good words. But when the matter of fighting became decisive, they did not behave so. Yet had they stayed true to the word they gave Allah, it would have been better for them.
