بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 8
1 verseAl-Mujadilah 8
اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذ۪ينَ نُهُوا عَنِ النَّجْوٰى ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَيَتَنَاجَوْنَ بِالْاِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ الرَّسُولِۘ وَاِذَا جَٓاؤُ۫كَ حَيَّوْكَ بِمَا لَمْ يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ اللّٰهُۙ وَيَقُولُونَ ف۪ٓي اَنْفُسِهِمْ لَوْلَا يُعَذِّبُنَا اللّٰهُ بِمَا نَقُولُۜ حَسْبُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُۚ يَصْلَوْنَهَاۚ فَبِئْسَ الْمَص۪يرُ ٨
Mushaf
Transliteration
8Elem tera ile-lleẕîne nühû ʿani-nnecvâ ŝümme yeʿûdûne limâ nühû ʿanhü veyetenâcevne bilʾiŝmi velʿudvâv vemaʿṣiyeti-rrasûl. veiẕâ câûke ḥayyevke bimâ lem yüḥayyike bihi-llâhü veyeḳûlûne fî enfüsihim levlâ yüʿaẕẕibüne-llâhü bimâ neḳûl. ḥasbühüm cehennem. yaṣlevnehâ. febiʾse-lmeṣîr.
English Translation
8Do you see those who, though forbidden to hold secret meetings among themselves with evil intent, disregard this prohibition and hold secret talks for the purpose of evil, enmity, and disobedience to the Messenger? When they meet you, they greet you in a way Allah has not greeted you. And among themselves they say: "Why, then, does Allah not punish us for what we say!" Hell will settle their account. Yes, they will all be thrown into it; what an evil final destination it is!
