English Translation

English Translation

2It is He who drove out of their homes, at the first banishment, those of the People of the Book who disbelieved/broke the treaty. You never thought they would leave their homes. And they thought their fortresses would protect them from Allah. But Allah struck them from where they did not expect and cast fear into their hearts, so that they were destroying and laying waste their own homes, on the one side with their own hands and on the other with the hands of the believers. So take a lesson from this, O you who have understanding!
