بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 2–3
2 versesAt-Talaq 2
فَاِذَا بَلَغْنَ اَجَلَهُنَّ فَاَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ اَوْ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَاَشْهِدُوا ذَوَيْ عَدْلٍ مِنْكُمْ وَاَق۪يمُوا الشَّهَادَةَ لِلّٰهِۜ ذٰلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِه۪ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِۜ وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللّٰهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًاۙ ٢
Mushaf
Transliteration
2Feiẕâ belagne ecelehünne feemsikûhünne bimaʿrûfin ev fâriḳûhünne bimaʿrûfiv veeşhidû ẕevey ʿadlim minküm veeḳîmü-şşehâdete lillâh. ẕâliküm yûʿażu bihî men kâne yüʾminü billâhi velyevmi-lʾâḫir. vemey yetteḳi-llâhe yecʿal lehû maḫracâ.
English Translation
2When women reach the end of their waiting period, either keep them on in a good manner or part from them in a good manner, and have two just persons from among you witness this decision of yours. And you, the witnesses, give your testimony properly, for Allah's sake! All this is an admonition to you believers who believe and trust in Allah and the Last Day. Whoever guards himself against defying Allah, Allah will show him a way out.
