بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 26–28
3 versesAl-Ahqaf 26
وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ ف۪يمَٓا اِنْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ ف۪يهِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ سَمْعًا وَاَبْصَارًا وَاَفْـِٔدَةًۘ فَمَٓا اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَلَٓا اَبْصَارُهُمْ وَلَٓا اَفْـِٔدَتُهُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ اِذْ كَانُوا يَجْحَدُونَ بِاٰيَاتِ اللّٰهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِه۪ يَسْتَهْزِؤُ۫نَ۟ ٢٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
26Veleḳad mekkennâhüm fîmâ im mekkennâküm fîhi veceʿalnâ lehüm semʿav veebṣârav veefʾideh. femâ agnâ ʿanhüm semʿuhüm velâ ebṣâruhüm velâ efʾidetühüm min şeyʾin iẕ kânû yecḥadûne biâyâti-llâhi veḥâḳa bihim mâ kânû bihî yestehziûn.
English Translation
26Indeed, We had given them many means such as We have given you, and equipped them with organs of hearing, sight, and understanding; but because they knowingly refused to believe in Allah's verses, their organs of hearing, sight, and understanding were of no use at all, and in the end the punishment they mocked closed in on them from every side.
