بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 14–16
3 versesAl-Hujurat 14
قَالَتِ الْاَعْرَابُ اٰمَنَّاۜ قُلْ لَمْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَلٰكِنْ قُولُٓوا اَسْلَمْنَا وَلَمَّا يَدْخُلِ الْا۪يمَانُ ف۪ي قُلُوبِكُمْۜ وَاِنْ تُط۪يعُوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُولَهُ لَا يَلِتْكُمْ مِنْ اَعْمَالِكُمْ شَيْـًٔاۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُورٌ رَح۪يمٌ ١٤
Mushaf
Transliteration
14Ḳâleti-lʾaʿrâbü âmennâ. ḳul lem tüʾminû velâkin ḳûlû eslemnâ velemmâ yedḫuli-lʾîmânü fî ḳulûbiküm. vein tüṭîʿü-llâhe verasûlehû lâ yelitküm min aʿmâliküm şeyʾâ. inne-llâhe gafûrur raḥîm.
English Translation
14Some of the Bedouin (the nomadic Arabs of the desert) came to you and said: —We too have believed. Say: —You have not yet believed; rather say, "We have submitted." For faith has not yet settled in your hearts. If you truly obey Allah and His Messenger, who conveys Allah's messages, Allah will not leave any good deed of yours unrewarded. For Allah is matchless in forgiveness and an infinite source of mercy.
