بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerse 12
1 verseAl-Mumtahanah 12
يَٓا اَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ اِذَا جَٓاءَكَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ عَلٰٓى اَنْ لَا يُشْرِكْنَ بِاللّٰهِ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَسْرِقْنَ وَلَا يَزْن۪ينَ وَلَا يَقْتُلْنَ اَوْلَادَهُنَّ وَلَا يَاْت۪ينَ بِبُهْتَانٍ يَفْتَر۪ينَهُ بَيْنَ اَيْد۪يهِنَّ وَاَرْجُلِهِنَّ وَلَا يَعْص۪ينَكَ ف۪ي مَعْرُوفٍ فَبَايِعْهُنَّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُنَّ اللّٰهَۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُورٌ رَح۪يمٌ ١٢
Mushaf
Transliteration
12Yâ eyyühe-nnebiyyü iẕâ câeke-lmüʾminâtü yübâyiʿneke ʿalâ el lâ yüşrikne billâhi şeyʾev velâ yesriḳne velâ yeznîne velâ yaḳtülne evlâdehünne velâ yeʾtîne bibühtâniy yefterînehû beyne eydîhinne veercülihinne velâ yaʿṣîneke fî maʿrûfin febâyiʿhünne vestagfir lehünne-llâh. inne-llâhe gafûrur raḥîm.
English Translation
12O Prophet! When believing women come to you wishing to pledge allegiance to you, pledging that they will not associate anything with Allah, will not steal, will not commit unlawful sexual intercourse, will not kill their children, will not bring forth illegitimate children and attribute them to their husbands, and will not disobey you in what is good and right, accept their pledge of allegiance and ask Allah's forgiveness for them! For Allah is matchless in forgiveness and an infinite source of mercy.
