Verses 1–5

By the fig, by the olive, by Mount Sinai, and by the land you live in: We created the human being in the finest form for a purpose, and through prophets and books We made known how he should live in keeping with that purpose.

Those who step outside the purpose of their creation, chase after their own selves or beings created like themselves, and follow them, We turn into the lowest of the low.

O human being! Although Allah has created you, endowed you with so many blessings, and made known that after you die He will raise you to life and call you to account for whether or not you lived in keeping with the reason He created you, what is it that holds you back from this call and turns you in another direction?

At-Tin 8

Verse 8

Allah, who created the universe, established the working of what He created and the order of the perfect harmony among them, and laid down its laws, invites the human being, too, to live by a system of life and morality that is unique and absolutely perfect.

Allah is the highest of all who establish order and lay down rulings, and the One who rules over them.
