اَلْهٰيكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ ١ حَتّٰى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَۜ ٢

Transliteration
1Elhâkümü-ttekâŝür.
2Ḥattâ zürtümü-lmeḳâbir.
English Translation
1The passion for amassing more has kept you so distracted
2until you end up in the graves.

3Know this well: when the time comes, you will learn this truth.

كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَق۪ينِۜ ٥ لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَح۪يمَۙ ٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
5Kellâ lev taʿlemûne ʿilme-lyeḳîn.
6Leteravunne-lceḥîm.
English Translation
5If you had fully grasped what this passion costs,
6you would surely have seen that you had turned (the world) into Hell.

7Ŝümme leteravunnehâ ʿayne-lyeḳîn.
8Ŝümme letüsʾelünne yevmeiẕin ʿani-nneʿîm.
English Translation
7Suppose you did not see it here; tomorrow you will see it with your own eyes anyway.
8Then, on that day, you will be called to account, one by one, for the blessings you enjoyed.
