بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulVerses 1–3

اَلْقَارِعَةُۙ ١ مَا الْقَارِعَةُۚ ٢ وَمَٓا اَدْرٰيكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُۜ ٣
Mushaf
Transliteration
1Elḳâriʿah.
2Me-lḳâriʿah.
3Vemâ edrâke me-lḳâriʿah.
English Translation
1That calamity which will come suddenly!
2What a terrible calamity it is!
3And do you know what that terrible calamity is?

4Yevme yekûnü-nnâsü kelferâşi-lmebŝûŝ.

4When that day arrives, people will be like butterflies fluttering this way and that.

فَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَاز۪ينُهُۙ ٦

Transliteration
6Feemmâ men ŝeḳulet mevâzînüh.
English Translation
6On that day, as for the one whose good deeds weigh heavy on the scale,

7Fehüve fî ʿîşetir râḍiyeh.

11Nârun ḥâmiyeh.
English Translation
7he will attain a life with which he will be happy and well pleased.
8And as for the one whose good deeds weigh light on the scale,
9he will find himself in the embrace of Hawiyah.
10Do you know what that Hawiyah is?
11It is a fire that burns and scorches.
