بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulAl-Qari'ah 1–3
3 versesاَلْقَارِعَةُۙ ١ مَا الْقَارِعَةُۚ ٢ وَمَٓا اَدْرٰيكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُۜ ٣
Mushaf
Transliteration
1Elḳâriʿah.
2Me-lḳâriʿah.
3Vemâ edrâke me-lḳâriʿah.
Verses 1–3
O Prophet! The time of that shocking and terrifying day, which will come about suddenly, has not been made known to you; so how could you know it and tell those who ask?

Transliteration
4Yevme yekûnü-nnâsü kelferâşi-lmebŝûŝ.
5Vetekûnü-lcibâlü kelʿihni-lmenfûş.
Verses 4–5
With the quake that Day will bring about, people will be flung from their places this way and that and scattered like swarms of locusts, and the mountains will be torn apart like carded wool, crumble to dust, and fly about.
Al-Qari'ah 6
1 verseفَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَاز۪ينُهُۙ ٦
Mushaf
Transliteration
6Feemmâ men ŝeḳulet mevâzînüh.
Verse 6
On that Day, those who believed in the system of life that is Allah’s call and lived striving to fulfill their responsibilities in order to live by it and keep it alive will attain a life in which they will be happy, at peace, and secure.

5 versesفَهُوَ ف۪ي ع۪يشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍۜ ٧ وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَاز۪ينُهُۙ ٨ فَاُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌۜ ٩ وَمَٓا اَدْرٰيكَ مَا هِيَهْۜ ١٠ نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ ١١

7Fehüve fî ʿîşetir râḍiyeh.
8Veemmâ men ḫaffet mevâzînüh.
9Feümmühû hâviyeh.
10Vemâ edrâke mâ hiyeh.
11Nârun ḥâmiyeh.
Verses 7–11
But those who rejected His call and rebelled against Allah will be thrown from a precipice into the pit of Hawiya. Do you know what the pit of Hawiya is? It is a pit of scorching fire. That is how they will suffer the punishment for what they did.
