English Translation
2It is Allah who sent to a people who were ummi/without a culture of revelation, and who were plainly astray, a messenger from among themselves, to convey His verses to them, to purify them of shirk (associating partners with Allah), and to teach them this Book/the Quran, and how it is to be understood and carried into life.
