بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulAl-Masad 1
1 verseتَبَّتْ يَدَٓا اَب۪ي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّۜ ١
Mushaf
Transliteration
1Tebbet yedâ ebî lehebiv vetebb.
Verse 1
Abu Lahab, the transgressor who rejected the system of life that is Allah’s call and insolently attacked the Prophet, has certainly deserved to suffer punishment and to perish in both worlds, and so both his hands (this world and the Hereafter) have withered.

2Mâ agnâ ʿanhü mâlühû vemâ keseb.
Verse 2
Neither his wealth and property nor anyone else can ever save this ungrateful wrongdoer, who does not accept Allah as Lord and God, from the punishment he deserves.

His wife, too, who helped him in his aggression—that disbeliever who associated partners with Allah—will be cast into the blazing fire together with her husband, as one who carries firewood for Hell on her back, with a collar around her neck.
